Tonight I captured footage of Los Latinos Pepinos performing some pieces from their set. They engaged my services to create a showreel video that they can send out to local venues for hire. We shot the footage in about 2 hours and only needed 2 takes of each song. These guys are fantastic musicians and I had an awesome time working with them.
I recently invested some money into upgrading my gear. I now shoot on 2 x Sony A7S ii’s. These cameras are mirror less DSLR cameras that produce super high quality cinematic images and can handle low lighting conditions really well. I also have access to a slider, stabiliser and a wide variety of lenses so I am well equipped to handle almost any project.
If you have a new project or story to tell?
Mr + Mrs Chung were happily married inside Brisbane’s City Hall over the weekend and we were lucky enough to capture their day. The inside of the building was beautiful! It was fitted out with all of the original furniture and the decor screamed elegance. I love learning about new cultures and this was my first Cantonese wedding where I got to experience a Tea Ceremony tradition.
I recently filmed Brisbane Tree Experts cleaning up the cliff behind Saint John’s Cathedral in Brisbane over the weekend. They wanted a video to show the before and after effects of their work at the site and I was excited to capture the guys in action. They had a pretty dangerous job ahead of them but they made it look easy. I had heaps of fun capturing shots with my slider and using time lapse techniques throughout the day to give the video a professional look and feel. Stay tuned as the job will be completed later this year.
